A valuable parable and warning for many kinds of highly participatory enterprise projects like "Web 2.0" blogs and wikis, implementing a CMS, or really any kind of project that aims at changing the behaviors of large numbers of people. Even a project that the target audience loves may be doomed without adequate logistics and staff support.

That's like my college asking us to get better student engagement, then complaining when they got too demanding and excited about learning!
... speaking of changing the behavious of large numbers of people, I recently wrote a paper for the Canadian college I work for (Nova Scotia Community College; www.nscc.ca) and got mixed reviews... wondering if anyone would like to comment on a new way of learning and assessing learners. It's like comparing APPLES & ORANGES! Download document here: http://mindseed.ca/APPLES/APPLES-and-ORANGES_v1-5.pdf
